About Blood Bikes East
Blood Bikes East is a volunteer-run charity providing free, urgent transport of blood, medical samples, medication, breast milk, and other critical medical supplies to hospitals and healthcare facilities across the East of Ireland.
We operate entirely through the dedication of our volunteer riders, drivers, and support teams — helping save lives and support our health service, one journey at a time.
Role: Volunteer Drivers
Requirements:
Full motorbike licence (Category A)
Full car or van licence (Category B)
Safe, confident, and responsible on the road
Availability to support shifts on weekdays, nights, or weekends
Commitment to representing Blood Bikes East professionally and compassionately
Key Responsibilities:
Transporting urgent medical goods quickly and securely between hospitals and labs
Completing accurate delivery logs and communicating with dispatch
Maintaining and caring for Blood Bikes East vehicles when in use
Role: Volunteer Fundraisers
Requirements:
Passion for community support and fundraising
Good communication and organisational skills
Willingness to represent Blood Bikes East at public events, talks, and local fundraising initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and assisting at fundraising events
Raising awareness about Blood Bikes East’s mission
Engaging with sponsors and supporters
